I got my Remington products catalog in the mail the other day and i was lookin through and came acrossed something that stumped me. What is the difference between the Remington 870 Express and the Remington 870 Wingmaster? Also i plan on hunting Deer, Duck, Turkey, and smaller game such as squirrel, rabbit etc. and i want to get the combo version with both the slug barrel and the regular barrel. Do they sell the wingmasters with the combo or just the 870 express?

Mello said it right. I bought a 870 express ten years ago and it never gave me problems. When i got out of the militray i pratically had to pry it out of his hands to get it back. The wingmaster is a better looking gun.

I am definitely not someone that gets hung up on looks, as long as the performance is there. The 870 express is still this countries most popular shotgun, and performs very well. I have the supermag combo, 3 1/2" chamber and love it.

RedLion, I was just mentioning possible long term durability. That said I have never seen an 870 wingmaster or express fail. In my opinion they are the ONLY pump gun made. I don't worry to much about looks either, 870's are born to hunt, not just sit on a shelf and look at. My wingmaster has been in the family longer than I have and the stock is starting to look like a chainsaw chewed on it. Not to mention the blue/rust combo on the steel. Still never fails me. Scared to clean it up, it might get offended and start acting up.
