I guess for concieled carry its a tossup between the Glock 22 ( 40 S&W) and the Titanium 3 inch 357 Mag.

I dont have it yet, but it will be something very similar to the Super Redhawk 44 magnum. Something nickel, .44 magnum and in revolver. I am still shopping. Part of the reason for the .44 Magnum is because I also have an Marlin 1894 .44 Magnum rifle and it helps to keep reloading simple. A .44 Magnum bullet just makes a nice big hole which to me is very effective in both game hunting and self defense. Not to mention the Dirty Hairy "go ahead punk, make my day" intimidation factor lol.

My CCW is a S&W M38 Airweight Bodyguard 38 spl., and I carry it everyday. Since I am carrying a high powered rifle this time of year, I usually carry a S&W M651 22 magnum for "varmints" when I head into the woods.

My CZ 75B. I don't get to carry at work or at school, but it goes pretty much everywhere else I go.

Have you taken any large game (deer and larger) with your 44? If so, what kind and how far away?
