For night time critter busting my Springfield XD 40 tactical with Trijicons gets the nod. For all around carrying and shooting critters my Taurus Tracker 357 gets the nod. I have shot 3 coyotes in the last month with the Taurus. It is a very accurate lil revolver that is light and carries like a dream.

My favorite one today is my lightly customized Ruger Bisley SS in 45 Colt. That is because it is Deer season.

My last to part with would be my Springfield 1911. I just have too much elbow grease in that one to give it up!

The LAST one you'd get out of my hands is my S&W model 29-2.... It's been about every place i've been hunting for weeks at a time, and many times it was the only gun i carried. (includeing on this afternoons deer hunt)

It's also won a drawer full of metals for me in the off season competitions i've entereduseing it.

DM. Thats the line of thought I had. Mine may be a Taurus but the 44 Mag does it all. Its light enough to carry full time and versitile enough for any situation that may arise.. I also have the Bisley Hunter in 44 Mag that would be a better just hunting gun but not so packable.

I have a strong desire for a 480 Ruger as well. Maybe soon. At least the 44's will do the job. One gun I wish I would have kept is a 5 Inch S&W Classic revolver that I used to hunt with a lot. If one becomes effecient with a good revlover, the 44 Mag would really be all he would need to hunt NA. Its often been done.

CCW: Glock 19, my favorite. 16 rounds of 9mm 124g. I thought I hated Glock till I bought one, fits like a glove.

Hunting: S&W 686 .357 mag. 180 grain castcores.

My contender chambered in 30-30 for hunting and my buckmark 22 for just a day of plinking for $ 8.00 still great fun and economical and still helps with proper form for my larger pistols w/out beating myself up.
