I was going to put a Mcmillan a4 stock on my 700. Problem is that they are pretty damn expensive. A little more than the actual rifle in fact.

Does anyone know of another stock, similar in design and quality, but a little cheaper?

I have an H-S Precision stock on my Rem 700 7mm Mag and it's a great stock for the money.

Look at a B&C Medalist..aluminium bedding block extends from the foreend swivel to the cheekpiece. You should skim bed it as well.
