Man, this is a hard one. I love the A-5 that I inherited from my Dad, but my Super 90 has never let me down for the last 10 years either. I also have a pretty strong attachment to my Beretta Onyx. As far as tried and true, I would have to say either a Browning A-5 or a Remington 1100.

the one that won't burn a hole in your wallet.
the one that fires ammo that can be bought at the hardware store down the road.
the one that fits next to your bed out of sight.
the one that your wife and kids can operate in case YOU can't for some reason.
the one that hits it's mark when your scared stiff and not fully aware where center mass is due to all the sleepy gunk still stuck in your eyes.
if your gun can do this and more than it is the perfect gun for you!
