If the trigger seems heavy Timney sells a package of 2 springs for the A-bolt.one is for hunting @3lbs & one is for target shooting/varmits @ 1.5 lbs, and it is very easy to replace.

ps.. Ilove my a-bolt micro hunter in .270wsm with the 3lb spring.

I have a .243 and a .30-06. They both will shoot sub-inch 3 shot groups with deer hunting ammo, and the .243 will break 1/2" with 70 grain Noslers loaded for woodchucks and crows. I have heard all the complaints about them, but so far, so good for me. The .243 has about 500 rounds through it, and the .30-06 has about 150. So far, no problems.

I'm seeing some slight bias in this statement. Afterall, I'd swear to a certain brand of tampons if they paid me enough.

Yes, they are worth the money. No gun is more accurate, durable, or stylish than a Browning A-Bolt. The mere glimpse of such a rifle by game animals will make them surrender faster than the French army.

I have an a-bolt in 7mm-08...Positives are very accurate, I like the box mag, and the bolt (small angle)... The fit finish is also very nice, although I prefer oil rubbed versus the heavy lacquer which is on mine. The biggest negative to me is the stupid hinge plate on mine... It juts out way to far... And everytime I dissasemble the darn thing if I tighten the screw it won't allow me to undo the hinge... It is on my get'er done list.

You won yourself a fine shooter, so start shooting it and let us know how it shoots. I have a Browning A-Bolt in 7mm Rem Mag, and it'll put 3 shots into a dime sized group all day long.
