I have a .243 and a .30-06. They both will shoot sub-inch 3 shot groups with deer hunting ammo, and the .243 will break 1/2" with 70 grain Noslers loaded for woodchucks and crows. I have heard all the complaints about them, but so far, so good for me. The .243 has about 500 rounds through it, and the .30-06 has about 150. So far, no problems.
