Winchester Ammunition has been on the leading edge of rifle bullet design for nearly 140 years – and the company that has led the industry with innovative award-winning new products has just developed the ultimate hunting bullet.
Introducing the new Supreme Elite XP³ – the closest thing to a perfect rifle hunting bullet as you can get. The new XP³ starts with a “2-Stage” expansion design, plus combines all the best-known bullet technology features into one bullet:
The New XP³ delivers precision accuracy, awesome knockdown power, and deep penetration all in one package - and it’s as effective on thin-skinned game, like deer and antelope, as it is on tough game, like elk, moose, bear, and African animals – at short and long ranges.
No matter what species game – the new XP³ is the only hunting bullet you’ll ever need.

It looks like a Failsafe with a polymer tip. I would think that they would be good bullets, but the only thing I can say is that experience is the best teacher.

Barnes has one coming out also called the MR-X bullet except that this bullet has a tungsten core rather than lead.

Here is the article about it in Rifle Magazine. It starts on page 6 but starts talking about the new MR-X on page 10.

So thats why they are dumping the Failsafe!! They are getting rid of the hollow point, and replacing it with a polymer tip, and getting rid of the steel insert altogether. I'll bet Nosler has something to do with this. They were behind the Failsafe and Partition Gold (which is not discontinued also).

Are they really dumping the Failsafe? That would make me mad if its true. Great bullet, all i shoot out of my 30-06.

I bet this one will cost even more than those too...
