Remington 7400 ?
I hunt with a BAr. But, an 06,7400 fell into my hands and I've heard all kinds of nasty things about them. But when I took it to the range, it shot very well with a variety of 150 grn factory loads. so much so I put milk jugs of water at 150,200,250and 300 yds. One shot kills on all of them.(minute of deer in my book)No failures to feed, extract or jam.
Do any of you guys actually hunt deer with one ? What has been your experience ? all input appreciated.

My brother owns one in an 06 and hunts deer and moose with it. He seems pretty happy with it.However, it did jamone December under very cold snowy conditions. It was okay with me because I got to take the shot instead!!!! I think it was just an oil residue build up problem, since he cleaned it thouroughly it seems to function fine.

The remington 7400 is a disposable rifle. Most of them I've seen will shoot accurately until the barrel gets hot (usually 3 or 4 shots) and the accuracy goes to hell until it cools down again. If you keep them clean, they will work as an excellent hunting rifle, if you use it mostly for hunting, you will never wear it out.

I have used one for I don't know how long. Killed alot of deer with it. Never had any problems but I use it for hunting and not really going to the range every weekend. Only had one jam about 16 years ago when I didn't know what I was doing in cleaning and the oil turned to gunk in the action gas operation.

I owned one for years and never had a problem with jamming .I sold it to a guy and he tried reloading for it , jammed it bigtime. That wasn't the guns fault but the guy for reloading with the wrong powder.

Ya know, I just got rid of mine this last late spring. I killed one deer with it, the deer was dead. Yes, they are finicky wit reloads and they do get hot fast, hence the lousy accureacy after 3-4 shots. But, yer everage joe aint gonna rip off a bunch of shots so this may be fine for you. Mine was a 270 and my father in law has it in 308. His is definatly better. I do still kind of like them, but cannot afford a jam in the field. Not a BAR, but not junk either. EJ
