Default Buying a New 270 WSM

Hey guys,
I'm being inqusitive I'm buying a new 270 WSM this summer and I'm putting a little research into it righ now.I have lokked on web and there are 3 guns I'am intrested.
1.Savage 14F American
2.Winchester 70 New SporterIII
3.Browning Micro-Hunter
Now the cons of these are the savage(never owned one but shot plenty)it only hold 2 shells+one in the pipe,Pros Accu Trigger and 24 in barrell.
Winchester Holds 3+1 but only has a 22 inch barrel, plus it's mor spendy than the savage.
The Browning has a 20 inch barrel, but it's a Browning and more money than the winchester.
Out of the 3 wich would you choose or give me your opions.
This gun will be used for deer-antelope game.
Thanks BBJ

I would look for a Winchester, Ruger or Remington with a 24" barrel. I also want 3 in the magazine & 1 in the chamber.

Bareback, I like this over all the Winchester and Brownings I have ever owned. Tack Driving SOB as well. Sells for 469 at most places including Walmart. Forget the accuracy warranty on it as well.. The one I have has outshot any Browning or Winchester I ever owned in a WSM caliber. Good Luck

I prefer the Browning over the others. I've never like Savages although they are accurate....just don't feel good to me. My Winchester is a shooter, but it's heavy and somewaht bulky. My Brownings all shoot extremely well with handloads and factory and all seem to be easy and comfortable to carry. My Win. has almost gotten thrown off a cliff because of it's heft. I also compare many makes and models when looking for a new rig, but I always go back to the Browning. I like the 60* bolt throw, the light weight, the tang safety, the easily adjusted trigger....and it isn't a terrible trigger otherwise either. These are 4 top qualities that I prefer in a rifle. The others hit in some areas and not in others....Browning carries all the traits I like so that's what I buy.

One correction you need to make is the barrel length on the Micro Hunter....all the short mags in this rifle carry a 22" tube. 23" on the standard A-bolt.

BTW, I don't have any affiliation whatsoever with Browning, I just really like their rifles and shotguns. They've never let me down and to me they're worth the exra couple of bucks you pay for them.

I would not even consider a barrel under 24 inches in this caliber. Of the ones you listed I would choose the Savage by far. I think the Vanguard would be a good choice as well. Thats one of my next calibers. I have been looking at the Savage synthetic model. Accu-Trigger.

I have no experinace whith any of the rifles you listed but I would have to agree with nothing shorter then a 24” barrel.

Stainless Vanguard is real nice - also take a look at the Tikka T3 if you run across one. Nice gun, and comes with a detachable box magazine to boot.
