I've caught a few on surface poppers. I would cast out, let the ripples settle and strip in about 6 inches of line. The bass would smack it hard!

i duno how they will work but ive bin tying a bunch of deer hair bass bugs and dalburgh(sp) divers....hard to tie...but look effective to me...next project on fly tying for bass and gilld is gunna be big foam poppers..hand painted...i will be sure to post about the effectiveness...
