Wow, I decided to post to give ya'll a laugh.
I use 1 rod, a4' Ugly Stick. When your chest deep in a river and a face full of tree trying to flip a grubinto that eddy, it is pretty much all you can afford to bring.

I used to fish like that before I got a boat..That is a lot of fun..until I nearly stepped on a 12 foot gator..How do I know it was 12.??.The game wardens eventually killed it for killing a black lab.It measured 12 ' 6 inches.
it used to hang around in a lake by a nearby college. Because students would feed it ,it lost it's fear of man.
