bass

any texas rigged plastic with Garlic flavored fish attractent
i like old school6 inch ribbed ringtail worms in purple with a white tail
(gotta 1000 count bag of these 10 years ago and still have 300 or so left)
i dont buy into all these gimmick creature plastics.

i do like flukes and sluggos for the weeds

if i had to pick one bait for anything it would be Nightcrawlers....lets face it, you never get skunked using them.

I have always been a live bait person. I never bought into the soft plastics thing. Every now and then there is a fishing fad - spinnerbaits for awhile, then rattle traps, now soft plastics. I've never had too much of a problem catchin fish on live bait...

I hear ya my friend...Whatever works..I use both. If one of you guys drove all the way to Florida...I would certainly not take a chance on you striking out..We'd have some shiners on hand.

I'll be down in Florida next year for spring break, hopefully i can drown a few worms while i'm down there. My grandparents just bought a house in some retirement home near Tampa. I guess there is some decent fishin around.

I'm not even sure when it will be yet, it all depends on when our spring break falls. My grandfather was able to do a bunch of fishing and was on fish pretty much every day he said, so I'm looking forward to goin down. The girlfirend won't like the idea that all I want to do is fish.....
