I took my Grandson up to Devils Lake on the 5th. It was a Hot calm day but we found a mid lake hump where the depth came up to Eight feet surronded by 26 ft deep water. The hump was laoded with 18-20 inch Walleyes. We took a limit of the 18 inchers in a couple hours. Dropped anchor and used slip bobbers. We caught a few Nortnerns in the 30 inch range as well. Leeces and a few crawlers did the trick. Great day with the Grandson. I told him if he caught more fish than Grandpa, he had to swim back. He did but I let him ride anyway.

I hope so. I don't get to see them enough as their Mom and my son are divorced and they live 200 miles away now. Our X daughter in law has been very good about letting us spend time with them. They all love to fish.

The dry weather has had ver little if any effect on Devils Lake. They say it will take ten years of normal rain fall to show any effect. It has nor been near as dry up there until this year. It was still raising last year. Great Walleye lake. good numbers and good size as well. Its hard to catch a little one
