springfield xd opinions

XD's are great guns. I own 2 of them myself. I know for a fact, very few have gone back to Springfield Armory for repairs. I have nothing negative to say about them what so ever. Good luck

I was going to buy one and rented one for a few rounds at a range. I shot it, it did ok. But then I took out my glock and thought to myself, whats the difference. If I want a gun with all the bells and whistles and safeties, I like kimber or beretta. If I want a no nonsense grab and shoot gun, I got a glock. So I passed on it.

aimatdeer, I've had an XD9 for a year now and I think it's a terrific gun. Before I bought my XD, I was able to shoot both a Glock and an XD at my local range. I prefer my XD9 over a Glock because the grip angle is much more comfortable. If you browse on over to the XD message board, you'll find many XD owners like their XDs for this reason and a wealth of information about the XD. The Glocks have a better finish than the XD, however. Some people - relatively few, I believe - have encountered rust problems, but those problems are minor and easily resolved if you follow some of the basic care recommendations.

they aren't bad at all for a 3rd generation HS2000 ( made in croatia imported by springfield ) the design has been around for awhile they are great for folks with smaller hands, Id own one except for the fact they feel funny in my big ole grizzly paws. Maybe one of these days ill get one anyway. you cant go wrong with one
