You have to use top quality, stiff as possible stocks for this bedding to work. Once you find that and can evenly bed a gun with contact (maybe not 10lb of pressure), it will be a very dynamic gun. And his guns are 5lbs. some of them.

The problem on my remignton 700 stainless/syn is the tupperware stock is just not stiff enough to hold consistent pressure on the barrel, so next best thing is float the barrel, pillar bed the cheap stock, and find a bullet/load combo that won't be affected by barrel whip that much. Or buy a quality McMillian stock, and find someone to bed properly with contact to the barrel.

I have mcmillan stocks on all of my hunting rifles and all are pillar bedded with free floating barrels.The floated barrels seem to produce a more consistance point of impact in changing temperature conditions.I have had great accuracy out of mcmillans that were fully bedded but for some reason the point of impact did wander a little more when conditions changed.

I always wondering about that. I see NULA's shoot dimes with a super fly wieght gun, but long term I wondered.

Stubble, just curious, what is your average temp you shoot at in Fort McM? Average Elevation, Barametric Pressure, humidity? Do you ever shoot in the low lands.
