Does anyone else have one of these.Any info would be great help.Thinking of takeing it bear hunting in Maine at the end of august. The hunt is over bait . My guide says most shots are within 50 yards.The store put my scope on and bore sighted it and it was dead on at 30 yards. Have to work up some loads for it and see what it will do.

i have the ruger lever model 96 in 44 mag. i use the 300 grain hornady xtp-s. great medicine for bear.

should work perfect!!!! where in amine and what guide service???? i dont know of any guides up here that have anyone shooting that far. we set all out baits 15-18 yards and so do most all the guides we know. either way youll be fine out to 5-75 yds no hesitation. some of my cousins and uncles have killed bear w/ that exact animal you speak of. we have a deerfeild but ive only shot deer w/ it. good luck and let 'er eat!
