Default 327 federal

Does anyone have experiance with this new caliber.
On paper it looks great, but we all know how the manufacturer's like to blow their own horn.
Any and all help appreciated.

Can't imagine it will get off the ground until they make somethin' with a little more barrel to it.

That was sort of the wayI was thinking, but don't know because I don't know anyone that has one yet.
I had a 32H&R and really liked it so if this is even better, with the proper barrle length, it should be ok.
It could be like a lot of other cartridges that are just a short lived fad.

I think if they would market it in a short, hunting style lever gun or carbine for women/kids it would do better than in a handgun.

Or even a Ruger Blackhawk or Bisley. With a 4 & 5/8 barrel, or longer, you could put some of that muzzle flash and blast to work for ya. I think it would make a decent pest round.

38 specials still sell well because of the diminishing returns of putting alot of powder into a snubbie.

From what I've read - it approaches (but doesn't reach) .357 performance. It sounds like a fun plinking round and should be a decient defensive round. And you can shoot I think the 32 H&R out of it. I too agree that it would be a neat lever action round. And be another choice for small game and cowboy shooting having a rifle and handguns in the same chambering. Maybe Ruger will start chambering their single actions in it.

Sounds like a remake of the M-1 carbine cartridge.
