i saw a steyer tactical the other day in .308 and was wanting to make a sniper type rifle out of it i guess you would say but the price tag on it was 1400. is this gun worth this kinda price?

It is if you really like steyr rifles. They are well built rifles but It's my opinion that you can get just as much if not more rifle for the money.

Check out panther arms. They also make some really great rifles and that is exactly what i am going to purchase for my next gun. They have the .308 in a stainless fluted barrel for 1154$. You may also want to check out bushmaster.
