this gun comes with a 23in barrel rifled,it also comes with a saddle mount with a scope on it 2x7x32 this 23in barrel should be more acurate at 150yds. than the 20in barrel that comes with the combo would'nt it,I think he told me it also had a rifle stock on it is that a little longer than normal, and will the saddle mount for scope be just as effective as a cantilevered barrel mounting

stay away from the saddle mount setup and go with the
gun with the cantilever barrel where the scope will always
be mounted to the barrel so there is perfect alignment. The
saddle mount setup will never be in complete alignment
with the barrel giving subpar performance. That 23 inch
barrel will not give you any better accuracy than a 20 inch
barrel. Its all about the twist you use and the slugs that
you will shoot. My 870 remington slug gun was very accurate
with rifled barrel and open sights using Barnes 2 and 3/4
expanders made by federal.I am very serious when it comes
to accuracy and you will not get it with a saddle mount.I
have been into slug guns for over 10 years and have tried
lots of them finally going to a H&R Ultra Sluggster 12
guage that shoots like a rifle.Hope you make the right
choice and always use a top knotch scope as its just as
important as the gun you choose!Take Care- Mike

vaslugger, thanks for that information on the saddle mount this is all new to me as in putting a scope on a shotgun, man that cantilevered barrel jumps up in price dramatically.I was looking at that H&R it's a single shot super slugger with the extra heavy barrel,is that the same one.......Ted
