I have seen them shoot most slugs well, from Lightfields to SST's. My buddies seem to all use the remington bonded slugs in theirs.

I also have a 20 gauge and with Lightfields it will shoot one hole at 50 yards. But that is all I have shot thru it. Going to try some SST's and see how they do before next year. For the money they can't be beat.

I really wanted to get one of those but decided on my Mossberg Combo. My dads got one and that thing is a friggin tack driver. He uses Barnes Expanders and he is going to try the new Tipped Expanders. I've used everything from Remington Sluggers and Barnes expanders to SSt's and the new Tipped Expanders in my slug barrel, they all grouped well.

If I was going out to buy a new slug gun to add to the three I all ready have I'd take a hard look at those USH in 20 gauge. I'll be watching this thread just to see how everyone else likes theirs.

I shoot Remington solid copper slugs in my 11-87 with a Hastings slug barrel. I've killed 2 deer this year with it. The solid copper slugs left big entrance and exit holes through both rib cages. Both deer ran less than 20 yards. The coppers shoot real tight groups in my gun.

I have one in a 20 ga and love it. I shoot Remmington Core-Lokt. At 50yd it shot through the same hole, 100yd 1 1/4 inch groups, and playing around at 150 I could almost hit a pie plate consistently. And as for the knock-down power, absolutely brutal. The first buck I shot I hit directly in the heart from about 70yd. When opened up his chest, his heart fell out in 3 pieces. Never had one run over 25yd shooting these. The best part about the gun is that I have less than $400 in the gun and scopetogether.Great gun, great slug!!!!
