Everyone from team 10 should "check in" here to see whats going on and say where you hunt and what not...

I hunt in western wisconsin, jackson country to be specific, i believe it borders buffalo and trempaleau counties so it does hold some big deer, and hopefully i can get one...

RE: Team 10

Lake and McHenry counties in IL, Grant County in SW Wisconsin.

There are for sure 2 monsters (160"+) running around my spots here in IL, but this is my first year at my place in WI so we'll see what it produces.

RE: Team 10

hey guys i hunt in central Ohio. specifically Madison County. west of Columbus and all farm land, basically one big food plot. several bucks taken each year off the land i hunt and i am working on hunting a girls scout camp just to the east in Franklin County. over ran with deer and buts up too a Columbus metro park that the city of Columbus is supposed to open to bow hunting this year. again over ran with deer and it is on both sides of I70 and they realize someone is going to get killed with all those deer crossing the freeway. so wish me luck. i should kill a buck no problem at all. i just have to be patient this year. last year i was tired of missing opportunities and decided to take 2 doe during gun season for the meat. so this year is all head hunting. Know what I mean?

Hunting Illinois. I'll be hunting in Ogle County and some in LaSalle this year. I also hope to put some time in Will county. Already scouted once in Ogle and looks like a winner. I wish I could hang my stand here in my den in front of my computer until the opener Oct, 1st. Kind of a comfort thing.

Hey guys, I live and hunt in southern alberta. The deer population where i hunt is lookin good and there is a few big ones runnin around.

JZarr 08-23-2004 09:06 PM

RE: Team 10

Wow, some Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Alberta boys on this team. Sounds like we stand a real good chance of putting up some good numbers this year.

Now we just need a team name. :D

RE: Team 10

Hey DavidChesney,
I forgot to tell you that I've never seen or heard of a deer in Ogle County.;)I wouldn't make that long drive if I were you stay in bed and I'll contact you if I see any.:)

H80Hunter 08-23-2004 10:15 PM

RE: Team 10

Yeah there definitly are some big ones where I hunt, but I've never taken one with a bow yet... Ive never gotten a buck with my bow, but this is the first year I get to bowhunt in Western Wisconsin, I used to hunt in an over pressured area that produced very few mature bucks, and I got to gun hunt in the better of the two spots-- this year I get to bow hunt and gun hunt on the better land so maybe I can help the team out....

I did kill my first buck up there last gun season, a 3 pointer with a 12" spread, when I shot him I thought he was at least 6, maybe 7... he looked bigger from a distance

DavidChesney 08-24-2004 06:43 AM

RE: Team 10

Everyone is talking about team 6. I think that's great. We'll just stay stealthy and reap the rewards.

Now onto a name for our team.
How 'bout...or....maybe...
It's too early right now, I'll think later.

We are still missing a few team members, aren't we?
I believe I counted six of us achecked in so far.

Hey Team 10. I just wanted to let you know that hoyt14 is my son and he is in. He is 16 and has been working and chasing the 2 legged does all summer so he hasn't had much time to check in. I have posted some pictures of the bucks on our place in Richland county WI. You also need to know that the real big boys have MY NAME on them NOT his.

Well good luck chasing second place right behind Lucky 13.:D

JZarr 08-24-2004 04:13 PM

RE: Team 10

I'm confident your son is gonna bag a big boy this year. I'm only 24 and I've got 2 bucks bigger than my old man ever got in over 30 years of deer hunting. ;)

Don't count the young guys out!

DavidChesney 08-24-2004 05:49 PM

RE: Team 10

Okay now for a name...
Some choices?

Buckmasters
The Non-Typicals
The 10 Points (you know, 'cause we were #10)
Muzzy's Masters
The Potato Skins (I put that in to see if you're still paying attention)
The Grunts

Come on guys, how 'bout some help here!

RE: Team 10

LOL

If nobody else wants to step up, I'll assume the position, so to speak.

I had a nice little website of my own that I was keeping a hunting journal on for this upcoming season, but I broke it the other night and now I have to reinstall the web portal software and get it up and running again. Once I get that done I'm gonna create a login and password for our team so everyone can go in and make journal entries when they go hunting. That way we get a nice detailed description of our seasons, day by day.

The only thing left working is the photo gallery, and even that is half-broke. :(

Jzarr, any thoughts on a name for the team?

And I pick Jzarr as captain. Anyone second that motion?

And anyone else who has not checked in, please check in using the list above. I think we're missing a few members here.

Well I was trying to get my weblog back up and running tonight, but it was kicking my butt so I decided to make us a little team logo instead. It's not the greatest, but it's late and I'm tired.

copy and paste that into where you put your sig and surround it with [ i m g ]

and then after it put [ / i m g ] but without the spaces

Nice, that looks excellent , now that's what I'm talking about. These other guys don't have a chance against THE BIG TEN WRECKING CREW, others can imitate but never duplicate. What others put on the wall we put in a box in the garage. TIME TO BRING THE PAIN.

I got my site 80% of the way back up last night, just have to reload my old database and redo some of the graphics. As soon as it's up and running I'll que all you guys in on how to add journal entries to it.

I might tweak our logo a bit too, depending on how late I'm up tonight. Gonna be out tuning my broadheads tonight. I guess a fancy logo and cool web journal aren't very much good if you can't hit anything.[8D]

HEY YALL sorry i haven't had a chance to get in here yet (i've been a little busy with gurls, hockey, and work) but now that school is starting i'll be getting in here more, and be able to check in every day. if anyone is wondering what i hunt on, it's 80A's in the middle of the valley up in Richland Center. We’ve seen some really nice bucks this year, including one that my dad posted asking about scores, and was told 120-130 and that bad boy is on my side of the woods lol -plus my dad can't hit a deer if he had to- lol(and yea i already got him beat with the biggest buck), but again sorry it took forever, and good luck to THE BIG TEN and I’ll be talking to yall soon!
