Arrow Speed
Just how fast does your current hunting combo go ?
miss phoenix with a FFF string and 400gr 2216 arrows shoots 298 fps
thats 9 fps slower that its rated for using 350gr arrows
i have shot threw 3 deer this year 2 with this weight and 1 450 gr arrow.
i made up some 2213 and after i got done with them they weighed 355gr and shot 304 fps using the FFF string. they were great for 3-D's & and thats what they were made for.
this is my personal likes! 400 gr arrows for deer are ok & on up to 650 gr arrows are fine & dandy just like a hard candy christmas! []

RE: Arrow Speed
i have the barnett rhino system 4. it originally came with the carbon bolts and was rated around 316 fps-320fps using 100gr. heads. but i switched to alum. bolts 100gr. heads. they don't seem to vear off coarse as easy as the carbon in windy conditions. so i will gladly sacrifice a few fps for better accuracy. as far as how much they weigh in one vs. the other i don't know. but i'm guessing my alum. are around 305 fps - 310fps. i'd like to get a new one but don't have the $ as mine is heavier and louder than most - but it gets the job done and i'm happy with that. it's also been very dependable!
