One thing I had come across with a red dot was that they are not like a regular scope. That is with a regular scope if your ryr is not in the normal place, your vission through the scope will not be clear (you see black sides). This does not happen with the red dot. As it gets colder outside, you add more and heavier clothing onto your body. This moves the but of the stock fruther away from your body, which changes your eye and shooting position. THis could be the cause of your problem. The other thing could be a blad scope, but I would be leaning towards the extra clothing as the problem.

I personally have had no luck with a red dot thats why I whiched to a traditional scope with cross hairs. It's true with the thicker clothing it will change your shot, so you either need to adjust for extra clothing or which scopes.

i just had to add this post. what you're saying is true of every red dot EXCEPT the aimpoint brand. they are completely parralax free. that means you don't have to center the dot in the reticle to hit your mark. one of the reasons, i guess, they are pretty much becoming standard issue to SWAT teams and military personnel around the world. check out their website.www.aimpoint.com . it's pretty cool.

Are you sure it's the scope? Some bows (Horton) have moveable bases that cause simular problems by changing the alignment between the barrel and the base.
