I put a new flemish string on my excal a few months ago. It has stretched considerably. What brace height do you other Excal users find to be optimal? OR should I just keep it between 3/4"-1 1/4" as reccomended?

I am the opposite way with mine. I like it just above the lower line, just enough i can see the line with Miss Phoenix.[
] I keep it at 1 1/8" above riser on Miss Vixen.

My Excal has none of the "marks" that you guys mention but it is 10 years old.
I'm measuring from the end of the rail back to the string.
Should I just keep an inch + or - between the string and the end of the rail?
Thanks,

The guys on the Excal forum seem to think 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" is the "sweet spot" for bh, I tend to agree, however a small shift makes no diff on hunting accuracy, 1" or so at 30 yds.

The closer to the riser the more likely the string will hit the riser. I believe the benifits of a low brace height are out weighted by the benifits of a high brace height. On recurves the "sweet spot" is rarely near the lower range of the manufacturer's brace height recommendation.
