ORIGINAL: Planter

Rick's got them lined up and I can't find squat. Post a pic for us old boys bud. I wanna know what they look like!!
It was a beautiful morning out there even if it was as quiet as death. Sat in a to SMALL pop-up blind. I have to stick the Xbow thru the window the darn thing is so small. I did have a raccoon as big as my dog try and join me in the blind.I don't know what his problem was but I think he may have moved in since I set the blind. I thought I was gonna have to kill him but I decided that it would have to be hand to hand as I could not have turned around with the Xbow.
Keep hunting boys.. Not sure if I should job hunt(laid off) or deer hunt tommorrow but I bet the old ball and chain has a few ideas.
Ever notice the older you get the colder you get. 40 degrees out and I was still cold by 9AM..
Here's the 9 ..............

.........and here's the 7. Must be my lucky year. I've only been out 4 days so far and had 6 bucks go by me. Makes up for those years of nothing.

Congrats Rick! That is a fine looking deer! I am always amazed when I see that Ten Point Cocked! I tend to think of it when in my ground blind. What arrow and head did you use? Again, congrats!

Well, it's a raining again... I'm going to go out to the water treatment plant lake & have a look around. We also have quite a large semi-urban deer population here. I've seen probably hundreds over the last several years back there. In the winter you'll see big herds of 'em.

It's the Desert Stryker. Several inches smaller than the Tenpoint when cocked. Rocket Slammerhead with a 5 grain brass washer to get it up to 100 grains. The Slammerheads weigh 95 grains or so, not 100. They are a 1.75 inch 3 blade cut and neither deer went more far. They also shoot through mesh in blinds really well out to 40 yds or so if you double rubber band them. Using the 22" Stryker arrows that were refletched with blazer 2" and wraps done by Greywolf. They fly really nice and the broadhead hits well out to the 50 yds mark. I haven't gone past that to test.
