Well things went to poop fer me this morning. Was in my big stand with ML and this guy shows up and finally see's me in stand. Then he says i am sorry to tell you that he has gotten the lease on all of the 88 acres including the 8 i got the go ahead from realty company. He showed me his lease and i have pulled the oak stand and going back fer big stand. Now i get to hunt land ladies backyard. I ain't never seen a deer in it.[&o]

Hey Smoke, I feel ya... Got ran off my new place. Ladies in-laws are f-ing crazy!! Came out there with a gun and everything else! Even with written permission got ran off! They told me they have power of attorney over her. Doubtful, she's been running her tavern since she fired the in-laws. They are trying to steal her property from her. I called the game warden and he knows them. Says he's not going out there caz they are "crazy". He's afraid of them. He told me to just stay away from them or "their" property. Talk about BS!! So don't feel alone man! I'm now hunting my sisters "back yard"! The back of theie 7 acre lot. They've at least been seeing a few deer. Including a big buck. I wish you luck. Sounds like we both need it! lol

went to p/u my son's at Bible school and when I was on the road I noticed a Silver Chev Z71 on the north side of the property I hunt and saw 2 guys walking the fence line,anyway when I wentbuy the Registration station on the way home the 2 guys were there,this got me worried so my oldest and I walked the east and northside and didnt see anything out of place persay,anyway we saw some very nice tracks and fresh poopoo that were not there yesterday so I am going out to the northwest stand,its my 15 footer and ancher myself hoist up the CB and sit for the evening...It looks good......and I think I can get the CB and stand to work for me.This will be a 1st since surgery......later..

all went well this evening,had a small doe walk by at about 17 yrds on the path but passed it up,thought it would look bad if I came home with a doe the size of my lab,well maybe alittle bigger.atleast they are starting to move,I think the doe was one of the two deerthat Ive seen moveing thru in the am.....

Well I went out to the edge of the farmer's field last night. And things where looking pretty good to start. There's alot of big fresh tracks out there. There was a light crosswind blowing in towards the center of the field. It's kinda an L shaped field so I figured it might work out. There's some scrub brush on the inside corner of the "L" so I set up there for a change. Hung some scent rags 25-30yrds out so it would blow into the corn. Got settled in behind some scrub and not 15 minutes later, here comes some lady I have never even seen before with 2 BIG dogs!!!! She was walking the other side of the creek line in the cut bean field next field over. Right straight along side the corn I was hunting!!! I said "HELLO THERE!!" pretty loud and scared the sh*t out of her! Of course I'm all camo'ed out and in this scrub, so she has no idea where I am actually at. I theb say, "IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE ANY DEER BACK THERE, YOU AND THE DOGS SCARE "EM THIS WAY, OK!" She asked if they where messing up my hunting and I was honest and said well kinda. She offered to go back home, but I said go ahead and walk your dogs, it's a little late now. I guess it was the neighbors sister-in-law from across the way. Anyways, things haven't been going so great for me. First I'm ran off my new awesome place, by someone who claims to have POA over the property. Then this. That scent's starting to get expensive!! Already into my second bottle and it's just the very beginning of the rut. I guess I'm gonna have to start forcing my back to work, and going in the morning (BAD). Usually takes my usually handleful of pills, and a couple hours just to be able to walk decent. Wish me luck everyone, looks like I'm going to need it.

Sorry for this HUGE post. And complaining! I just had to get this off my chest and what's left of my MIND.....

I been using my smokepole since sat. when ML opened. So even getting put off ground to hunt on i kept hunting where i can. So even tho i used a smokepole i busted a nanny's butt before the sun came up. Over on the farmers field edge and i was jumping fer joy! Same place the reject ruined my hunting last year.

I got into my stand early so I figured it wouldn't hurt to hit the grunt call a few times. Had a nice little 6 pointer come in pretty fast, but stayed just out of range and thenheaded for the river. Only saw one smaller doe and one fox squirell that would not stop barking at me, lol.

went this afternoon to my ground blind I set up a week or so ago at new spot, looked pristine. Got there about 2 pm, prime time solunar wiswe was 4-5 pm, sunset at 5:18. About 3 pm here comes an old man on 4 whlr w/ 4 dogs following him about 10 yds from blind. No biggie, didn't think that would scare any prospects much. however, at 4:30, here comes a blue hair lady in full size Chevy w/ 3 poodles following the car, apparently she was "power-walking" her dogs. I said to H*ll w/ this, like Grand Central Station, packed my stuff and gave it up.

That's scary, just about the same that's been happening with me! I think I'm going to give it a week before I go back out for deer. I'll do some bunnie bustin' for a few days. Rabbit and upland birds came in today! I have a good place to rabbit hunt. There's so many you don't even need dogs. I did see a couple deer last night out at my sisters. but they won't come into range. Almost like they know I'm there, but the blind has been there for 2 weeks.

Made it out this morning. Seen three nice size does out in field about 100 yards or so. Never came my direction. Then about half hour after light I hear what I thought was a tree rat working the leaves over. Was getting closer and figured I better turn around and see if it is coming at my tree. To my surprise it was a button buck looking for nuts! He was about ten feet behind me when I turned around. He milled around fora while and then came out in front of me and tempted me to turn on my camera and take a whack, but I let him pass. Will go back out this evening. I have two weeks to fill a antlerless 15 dollar archery tag, and then after that it is 24 dollars a deer, he best stay away next week! LOL!!

I was abit scared this morning and good reason too! I am on my bucket in brushy bottom and 6 Doe's bust out from 10 to 30 yds. runnnig full out! I can't get a clear shot on any of them. Then less than a min. later 4 dogs came out by me. 2 of the bigger ones are very hostile to me hair up on back growling baring teeth! I don't want this deal to go down as i have only one shot in ML and being on ground is very bad fer me. I did flip safety off to be ready.They finally left me alone and i came home. I found several great trails and fresh rubs, i will put up my repaired ladder stand this afternoon. Then if those nastys come back they can't get to me up in stand.

Got offa work at 4:00PM today and went to stand to bait up for tomorrow, last day of ML season. Sooo, I decided to climb into stand just for giggles, now really ready to hunt or expecting to see anything after 4 wheeling all over the field with corn pouring out everywhere. Anyway, I saw more deer from 5:30 to 7:00 PM than I couldcount. Or at least keep up with. They were in every corn pile and walking across the field and everywhere. LOLI think it was somewhere around11 does and 4 nice size bucks. Scrapes are numerous now and since I killed that old bad coyote Sat. morning, the deer seem more at ease coming in. Well, I'll be there before daylight tomorrow. Surprise huh? I know, it gets dark at 6:00 but all those deer kept be pinned in my stand till 7:00PM. I'm pumped now, haven't killed a deer yet thisyear and many of you have. Keep up the good hunting guys and good luck. (I do believe a coyote will ruin your hunting area, don't you?)

T/C BLK. Dia. makes another one bite the dust!:DFirst one thru had 7 mean dogs running on her rear. About 10 min. later this one came running but stopped and i gave her a dirt nap! It was the first Doe's little one. Well i rather get her and eat her than those dogs get her. Have found 7 deer they have pulled down and killed![&o]Not good deal folks, those dogs are savage!

Well... I got my Crossbow buck in Ohio, So I decided to travel down to Kentucky to hunt the opening day of rifle season... Didn't get out till after noon and put in a whole day... Just before dusk this guy came out... He has a broken (healed) right rear leg, it was pretty interesting, I like the split G2.

Some good hunts and just wanted to get them in one spot. This thread is good reading in the off season and would like to have these in here. I was only able to go back to late October, so if some are missing sorry. After finding all these I did not realize we had that much success this season so far! Congrats to all!! Also any one getting out much? Unfortunately my desire meter is on the low side with a two deer in the freezer! I also have to start on my buck mount and that will be taking up some time. But I still have to get dadin the game and he needs a deer!

Well i popped a nice 3 pt. with my Blk. Dia. this morning in the drizzling rain. Thats 3 with ML and one with Miss Vixen. Now i have one more Buck tag and can take 6 more Doe's. Can take 2 more with ML and 4 with Miss Vixen.3 pt. field dressed 140 lbs. I am going back to Miss Vixen in the morning and try to fill my last Buck tag. I don't cull'em i just put them in the freezer![8D]

No, have found 4wd tracks going around the field. My stand was up against a tree at pond dam. Looks like they shot the cable in two. I will just hunt from the ground over there. Not many deer so its heart breaking. Of course there ain't many deer around here period.:D

It was raining and hovering just below freezing. I walked up to the stop that I was going to make a ground blind and about 30 yards I saw a doe eating some apples. I had my Exocet 200 in it's padded case with all my garbage as well in the case. There was a 9' white pine between her and I. She looked in my direction to see what was making noise. I froze for about 3 minutes until she started eating again. Same thing when I took our my bow, then same freeze when I cocked the friggen thing. Then I had to play slow motion boy and slide between the trees for about 50' to get a clear shot. She dropped on the raking shot. The arrow entered mid ribs and stopped at the offside shoulder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Probably because the Gold Tip snapped in friggen half! #$%^$^&&&*#$%&**@%%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!
I will abuse my Gold Tips this summer and use something else. Probably back to aluninum.
Pretty good weekend. I was out yesterday and whacked 7 geese and 6 ducks. Life can be better but I ain't going to complain!

Is this your first deer in the 2007 season? A deer dropping in its tracks is a cool sight! Dads deer did that and we where as happy as a kid at Christmas!!

I still have one doe tag left and plan on saving it for our ML season that is the week after Christmas before New Years Eve. Then I still have a month left after that to deer hunt. But I just hope it gets cold enough real soon, I am ready to go skiing!!

It's my second. I have two tags to fill. I saw the deer as I was approaching my spot. I know I should have waited for a buck, I had a couple of hours left but I couldn't help myself. As I spotted the doe I heard a good grunt to my left but.............once I saw the doe I went into "if its brown" mode. I like deer meat!

Did you use one of those Boo strings?? They work pretty darn good. Nice job but it doesn't look like to have to rush to get it cut up. I hope it was a nice short drag!!

Stalking deer is nerve racking and takes forever and seems to take even longer. I find it hard to control my breathing until I have the bow up or rifle up. If I am going to have a heart attack it will be during stalk! It seems all is calm after a couple of slow breaths to try to slow the breathing down. This is the closest I've ever come to an animal when stalking. Albeit it was a short stalk. It sure does make you feel alive!

Thats what Iam doing this weekend,but we are supposed to get anothe 4-6" of snow tonight and tomorrow so the woods are going to be a real challage,might need to buy some cheep white pull over bibs to blend in..
