I took my oldest son (9) out yesterday afternoon for the Youth hunt. We had someone walk on the outside of our plot around 6 which ruined the best part of the day. We still had a good time though. The weatherw as great finally. A bunch of us met up after the hunt and cooked hot dogs and told Ghost stories. I eased off into the woods as one of the guys was telling a story about a red ghost light and I had a small led red light in my pocket. We scared the crap out of the kids/ They wont soon forget that one. There were 3 deer taken a two missed and one was a 10 point

Haven't seen a lot of pictures... But I took my first Cross-bow buck ever (took a doe early in the season)
Here's the picture... Not much of a story, he was following a huge doe, veered off path to munch on some acorns... and wap!

OK at 8:04 am 4 deer came by my oak tree stand. Big nanny with 2 70 lb. little ones in tow and another nannydragging up the rear. Had broadside shot on all 4. They were 40 yds. again, too far fer Miss Vixen. So i found a real good ground spot up in the thicket and they can't see me until they step completely out at 16 yds. in the wide open!
I have 4 more days of this second Bow season left.

Went out with Dad tonight and I heard some noise in the swamp but no deer in sight. Dad did see one nanny and three little ones, but never had a good shot on any of them, going out in the morning.
