A week ago I took some venison chops (vacuum sealed) out of the freezer and put them in the fridge. Two days later I opened the bag, added marinade, vacuum sealed them in a new bag, and put them back in the fridge. As I said, its been a week now since theyve been in the fridge. Do you think they are still good. how long do they last? Does the vacuum sealing make any difference once thawed??
Thanx for the help

I' d say let your nose be your guide. The marinade will keep them a little longer, but a week is pushing it.
Vacuum sealing does keep meat longer, as it limits the air that comes in contact with it.
If it smells OK, I' d have no problem eating it. If it smells funny...I' d probably feed it to the coons.

As Pro Line said let your nose guide you. Also by marinadeing with a vacum sealer the meat is supposed to be marinated about 15-30 min. after vacum packing so I been told or read in the instructions of the Vacum Packer. You can always cook it and if its no good call for Pizza. It should be good though.
