Last year my Grandfather was butchering a buck that had a broadhead right behind the shoulder. It had healed and formed a pocket around the arrowhead. He noticed it when he nicked himself while skinning the deer!!

I'm starting to think that the guy at the meat packing place in Wy gave me someone elses meat.....

Thats why I like to butcher all the animals I kill myself. No offense to anyone who does, we all have our reasons. My uncle usually gets a few deer where he hunts and asks me to help him. It's good time with family, friends, and a case of the corner stores finest!

I've never found any in my venison, but occasionally find missed #6 shot in our rabbits. Par for the course!
