Leaf River Pics.......

Here is one more that I had to post. This same button buck and his mom get there about 6:00pm in the evening every day it seems and stay for about 45 minutes working the minerals and corn. Her neck has a strange crook in it that makes her easy to distinguish from the rest of them.

Last night we ended up with over 160 pictures and they ate all 30lbs of corn my father put out. I think we will be backing the camera down to 1 pic every 3 minutes so that he doesn't have to sort through so many pictures. I have gotten enough pictures now that I have started getting to know some of the physical characteristics of some of the deer in this herd. There is at least one mature buck with no antlers that we have seen in there, 2-3 that will be 2 1/2 year bucks this fall, and several of last years button bucks that should be sporting spikes or small basket racks this year. Can't wait to see horns sprout!

I just bought a Leaf River this week to experiment with. So far inside the house the picture quality looks good. The power up time looks a little slow.
As compared to the Cuddeback digital, the Cuddeback was real fast taking a picture but I thought that the qualilty was poor. I think that the flash washed the pictures out and they were a little grainy.
As compared to the EagleEye the picture quality is close and I think that the power up time may be a little slower with the Leaf River. Battery consumption is excellent with the EagleEye.
So far I'm still a more all around fan of the EagleEye but I'll be doing some head to head testing with the EagleEye and the Leaf River next weekend. A button quit working on the Cuddeback so I had to return it.
If you would like to know any more about my experience with these three cameras so far just e-mail me through the site link below. I don't get to this forum as much as I would like.

Guys, I'm sorry if any of you have tried to send me an email and not had a response. I have all my virus and spam blockers up so unless I actually recognize the name I generally won't accecpt. However, I do read these forums enough where I always try to keep up with my PMs. My buddy Mike has just recently added the Leaf Rivers to his website so now we are all taken care of when it comes to LR digis! Here's his link. If ya don't mind, tell him Cornfed sent ya.
