Default RE: Leaf River Pics.......

Here is one more that I had to post. This same button buck and his mom get there about 6:00pm in the evening every day it seems and stay for about 45 minutes working the minerals and corn. Her neck has a strange crook in it that makes her easy to distinguish from the rest of them.

Last night we ended up with over 160 pictures and they ate all 30lbs of corn my father put out. I think we will be backing the camera down to 1 pic every 3 minutes so that he doesn't have to sort through so many pictures. I have gotten enough pictures now that I have started getting to know some of the physical characteristics of some of the deer in this herd. There is at least one mature buck with no antlers that we have seen in there, 2-3 that will be 2 1/2 year bucks this fall, and several of last years button bucks that should be sporting spikes or small basket racks this year. Can't wait to see horns sprout!
