I don't think BowTech has produced the Extreme Solo for three years or so. You may be talking about the BowTech Extreme VFT which the produced up to last year!

Either way, I havn't shot the Extreme Solo but I have shot the Extreme VFT and really enjoy the bow. My best-friend owns an 03 Ex-VFT and that thing is blazing fast, especially considering that it is very shooter friendly!

Is this the bow? If so, it's no newer than an 02. It is possible the guy got a couple unfired bows. They sold for around $380 when new. It's got the Infinity cam, which is good. The sight and rest are good pieces. I don't think the Solos had Winners Choice strings, as did the higher end BowTechs. The bow won't be as quiet or vibration free as a Patriot or VFT. It's also slower, but no slouch. If you can get it for $200, it's a fair price. But I don't think I'd pay much more.

Lefty--If in fact it is the Extreme Solo and not the Extreme VFT then its likely the 02 model.I am sure it was the last year they were made before the Extreme VFT came in.The bow will have the sand trap limb pockets and they do work great,at least I never had any problems with it anyways. The bow is smooth, fast and not heavy at all.And yes the bow does come with winners choice strings,at least mine did anyways. If you buy this bow at a very reasonable price and its in great shape then go for it,you wont be dissapointed.
I owned mine for 2 years and loved it intill I shot the VFT Patriot, there is just no comparrison. If you like the bow and the price is right then go for it.
The infinity cam still had the interchangable modules for it as well.Does the bow come with the owners manual. It would definately help to set the bow up to your specifications, draw length, let off and so on
Good luck with whatever you decide

If it is the bow Phil showed then it's the same model my friend got with Samson limbs in '02. It's a very nice bow. He's shot a lot of deer with it. It's a little loud for my tastes, but he is also shooting it at 83 lbs. The price Phil quoted as new is a little low from what my friend payed. His was $510 new, but it could've been cheaper elsewhere. For $200 it's a pretty good deal.
