Florida deer

Our deer ar'nt that small , they do have small racks in most case's , a 120 inch deer being a reel trophy . Body weight for mature bucks being between 120 and 170 lbs "average" depending on the area taken . You can kill a buck and a doe every day of bow season , on private land , management areas usealy limit you to 2 deer per year per area . Allso during gun and muzzeload season you can kill a buck a day , again on private land . Our laws are rediculose , Georgia has the most "sensable" laws Ive seen .

I did not think Florida had a deer population to allow that kind of uncontroled kill.
Heres a link to our 04/05 laws , remember you can kill a buck a day 5" or better durring muzzel , and gun allso , on private land

They tryed for a new law this year , your first deer had to be at least a 5" spike , and after that it had to have 3 on a side , but unfortunately it didnt pass .

I'm org. from AL. and I know the size of the deer down there.Your lucky to find a buck that goes 170 and if you do that's live weight. Why does everybody from the south bring their deer out of the woods not dressed, don't they know it makes the deer lighter and easyer to drag.I live in IL. now and a good buck will dress out over 200lb.

I lived and hunted in Florida for 5 years. It's really hard to hunt on public land down there without a buggy and private land you usually have to pay for. I'm definitely glad to be back up north.
