A know it all self proclaimed whitetail expert?

Since most of us here are already self proclaimed experts and since theses message boards are our thrones, I don't think most of us would change.

thats tough to say, its hard to tell what would happen if you actually got the world record. I think I would only hunt for does or huge bucks, but I think I would still hunt about the same. I would still be on here, and I would be a more selective hunter. I dont think Id be an expert by any means because most of killing a world record would be luck.

No I don't think it would change a thing for me.I love to hunt and just because the next buck that comes along is not as big does not mean squat!! Shooting a word record buck is just lucky to begin with and the way i see it is every buck is a trophy no matter the size. Why would shooting a record buck change your life financially? would you even consider selling the trophy anyway???And as far as going to shows to show people your deer, who is going to pay for that?Iknow i can't afford it.
just my two cents

I think it would probably change us all a pretty good bit. I would like to say I would be the same, but their is only ONE world record, and what comes along with that will change you life IMO.
The only way I could remain a message board junkie is to keep this desk job I have. Not sure if that would happen if I had a world record whitetail.
Who knows.

I really hope I wouldn't change that much. It would be nice to get to go on some hunts and experience things that I never would have otherwise. It's not in me to proclaim myself as a knowitall type. As far as the selectivity thing goes I'd probably be able to hutnn better places and there would be able to wait one nicer bucks, but otherwise I'd still be happy shooting 'less than record class' bucks.

You bet it would change me. Suddenly I'd have more money to hunt with. I'd still hunt shooter bucks but it would be all over the midwest on much better hunting land. I'd still visit this board because where else would I post my trophy pics?

I would try to be the same hunter and person but first you gotta take the monster without dropping a load in your pants.[:-]
As far as being a self proclaimed whitetail expert, I'll never be one. I save that job for those bozos on the outdoor channel.

you know i am sorry to say it but yes it would change me. part of what keeps me up all night waiting for morning is dreaming about that monster. now all i have to do is look at my wall and kiss him good-night
i would still hunt but i wouldn't have that same ambition i do now. unless i saw a bigger one [:-]
i would never think of giveing up hunting but it would surly change how i look at the sport
