Not sure if they are fake or not. Was pretty incredible to get the pics if this is real. I definitely believe a mule could do this to a cougar. We have had isolated cases of cougars here in western Minnesota. Not too long ago, one was terrorizing farmers' horses and had drug one foal up into a tree. How did they resolve this? They put a mule out with a scouting camera in the area the cougar had been hitting. From the pictures the DNR obtained, the mule shook the heck out of the cougar after iit jumped onto its mule's back and went for the neck. Once the mule had the cougar on the ground, it kicked and stomped it until it was dead. I guess the reasoning for using the mule as bait was that they're notorioulsy thick skinned and can put up such a fight.
