yeah ,I'm scouting on this hunting forum. I've been picking the brains of other hunters regarding calling /rettling deer. Then I'll be ready next year. The signs are pretty consistant every year where I hunt at. Same area . Same bucks.

I have done a bit, however they are not following the same patterns in Vermont that they do the rest of the year. The property I hunt, the deer have all yarded up. I have been up there coyote hunting, and the coyotes have TONS of tracks surrounding this yarding area. It is a patch of real thick pines about 8 acres in total that they are yarded up in. I am tempted to go in there to look for dropped antlers, but don't want to push them around too much when they are yarded up.........I stay on the edges of it and try to call in yotes with my fawn in distress calls. 2 weeks ago I had a bunch of does come in to the calls right up the the ecaller. There are a few big deer tracks in there though, that are probably leftover bucks. Apparently I am the only one that killed a buck on this property this year, so I am sure there will be some nice ones next year. I had a dandy 8 point under my stand during archery, but it wasn't light enough for me to see the pins through my peep.
