Ive been thinking about adding a kisser button. I shoot a lot and like most of you guys I rarely see slumps, but there is always room for improvement. I know slumps can come and im afraid of my bad habits. Such as: inconsistent anchor points. tightness in my release which makes it shorter or longer. Will a button improve my shooting even more? Or should I use the old philosophy that if it aint broke dont fix it. Your thoughts?

If you put in in the right place on the string, it's only going to help. It just lands into place at the corner of your mouth and reaffirms that you have the correct anchor point. You have to get it right though, because you are already shooting well.

I don't use on on my hunting bow but I do on my bowfishing rig (no peepsight). I try to keep things off my hunting bow string......the kisser will slow your arrow down alittle.

My reccomendation: If your going to get a kisser button definetley get an angled one. Most shopps don't stock them but can easily order one...they cost about $1 more. the angle ones become flat and much more accurate at full draw. Its way worth the extra 1$ and couple days.

I agree with Cloud 9 on the kisser ,But seriously if your shooting well without one then why put one on, because it does slow you down ,but very little . What I'd reccommend is for you to try one for awhile and if your shooting doesn't improve or change, then take it off again and add it to your drawer of accessories,because someone down the road just might need it, and you can help someone else out.

I use one and for the most part like it. It does tear up my lip if I am not careful though.

I have used a kisser for a number of years now and love it. I have never tried a peep and shoot just as well as my buddies who do. I am going to try a peep this off season just to see if there is any improvements but the kisser will stay on too!!!

I have one on my bow and it is helpful to me but I don't use it much anymore because I use a face mask when hunting and can't feel the button so its not much use. I use my thumb and anchor it just past my jaw and has been working for me.

If you have a Bowpress or a good shop nearby, and are shooting either a drop away, or containment style rest, then you already have a built in kisser button! In the offseason, have the shop adjust your peep down until you can use a fletching as a kisser!
