Default coyote

Well, I havent ran into any deer to take yet,but last friday morning i had a coyote about 150 yards from me up wind across my right of way.He was trotting fairly in my direction on the neighboring property.I put my palm to my mouth and started kissing it to make a shrill cry.The coyote came full speed and circled downwind,I figured he would bust me,he entered the woods and I lost him, made some more soft squeals and wholla,he pops thru a clearing coming my direction,I drew my bow and he stopped four foot from the base of my tree, directly downwind.Needless to say I put a 100 gr. steelhead right between his shoulder blades and exited the bottom dead center of his ribcage. He didnt go far.Baking soda works....Sure did get me pumped up...

That's awesome! I've never had luck calling in a coyote. [&:] I still try though. We have had 13 sightings in the past 2 months but none of the guys that hunt around here have been able to take one.

Taking a yote is easier said then done. Congrats on a good shot. It just goes to show you who's on top of the food chain
