Default Rattling this early early

What are the best ways to rattle this time of the year. I am going to use a rattlebag if that makes any difference. The kind from Knight & Hale!

Just lightly tap them together for short periods. I think some subdued grunting might be more appropriate. However, things seem to be early this year so I'm not sure. I shot a thick-necked buck last Saturday. Guys I know are have seen scrapes and I've heard of some sparring already. Do a little calling but no so much that you could spook them. Right now they might come in more out of curiousity than aggression.

I've used both bags and actual antlers and I find it much easier to tickle with the real deal. With antlers you'd just want to lightly tap the tips of the tines together as opposed to crashing them together hard. With antlers it's easy to hear the diffrence. when you tickle them it's not real loud and the sound of the tines hitting is diffrent them when you crash the main beams together. When the beams hit each other it's a lot deeper sound.
