Yesterday I had 2 Firsts. My first deer here in NJ and my first deer from a tree stand! Great hunt, just as I was begining to pull up my rope to lower my bow and call it day... movement... close and moving at a good clip, draw back, aim, shot!
Man! perfect shot at a close 10 yards. Excellent double lung and clipped the heart. She went only 25 yards and crashed to the ground.
My bloody arrow right at the place of the shot and a good blood trail made it easy to find her. Good thing too cause it was just about dark.
My hunting zone here in NJ is earn a buck. So now with the doe taken care of, it is time to go after one of those big bruisers I have been seeing.
