Default beginner question

will 40lbs kill a deer? it is my first year bowhunting and i want to know if it can or not. iam looking to get a new bow soon and if you have any suggestions on a bow i'd apreciate it.

40lbs will kill a deer, but you need a VERY well placed shot.

Make sure you check your state regulations to ensure that 40lbs is legal for your state.
