Default Beginner question.

This is my first year bowfishing and am really enjoying it so far and have 6 total. But this might be a silly question but do ya'll aim low at the carp your shooting at because of the water or straight at them?

Aim low. To sum it all up. This is what everyone has ever told me and it works.

Yep water refracts light so objects beneath teh surface appear higher in the water than the really are. Take a stick and put half of it in the water and you'll see what happens. The stick will look bent upwards. The higher you are say on a platform the closer you aim to the fish. The lower you get the farther down you'll have to aim and the lower the fish is in the water the lower you need to aim. If you are missing fish just aim lower. Biggest problem in missing is you don't aim low enough. "Aim high in life and low in bowfishing." WCL
