Thanks,
Just ignore the typing on the map the guy who owns the land uses this map to show family and friends. I have seen quite a few deer on it while scouting. My biggest problem. The guys family uses the farm a lot for recreational stuff. Would this bother the deer as much since they are out there quite a bit? A little more about the place......It is 880 acres. Mostly woods as you can see. No crops. Oak trees dropping already. All fields CRP . I have heard that tops of ridges are better than the bottoms and that hunting the low lying areas is pretty worthless since any sign you see there is pretty much done at night ...Any truth to this?

Without an aerial photo and knowing where you are (guessing KS sinc it's in your name) I like the south facing aspects near the pond. Also the draw between the pond and the bard looks good. as well as from the 900 up to 940 by the end of the runway. Without knowing specifics on the property if I were to scout it that's where I'd head first.

What is the valley where the river is like? That could be a hot spot.

I think you might find the bottom ground to be much cooler and therfore more comfortable for deer in hot weather.

I like the area (that says big hill even though I don't see one) where the 2 water sources join with elevation on either side. I would set up on the west side of that far east finger and glass the area thoroughly.
