RE: Whisker Bisquit Experiment with pictures
Are your vanes straight or helical fletched? I think they need to be straight fletched in order to pass through the biscuit whiskers properly??
I'm using bemans in mine and I've had a few vanes that got ripped or have pulled loose, but that may have also been from my lousy shooting and missing the target!!

RE: Whisker Bisquit Experiment with pictures
Here is a way to fix fletchings that have been wobbled out of straight form such as those in the photos. However, it won't fix ripped fletching or fletchings come off the arrow shaft. Just take a lighter and hold it close to, but not touching, the fletchings. Sort of "roast" the fletching like you would a marshmallow, only don't leave it in the heat for a long time...put it close and then remove it, and repeat as needed. Your fletchings should straighten out and arrow flight should not change. It has worked for me, but don't use a ligter that is extremely hot...just use a small flame lighter, like the kind you can get at the check out isle at almost any grocery store for less than a buck. I need to tune my WB, because I have been noticing this effect on my arrows. Thanks atlasman. -MIKE
