I feel that most of my stands produce better when I arrive at least 30 minutes before shooting light. But if for some reason I'm late I'll choose another stand that can handle a late arrival so as to not spook any deer.

I like to be at my hunting height at least one hour before sunrise. That way I'm certain to have everything where it should be, all adjustments made and any sounds I created in the process are long forgotten by the wary critters of the woods. I do enjoy seeing the forest come to life, it's a great scene.
