Who trimmed my shooting lanes?
I bailed out of work early yesterday to get out for an afternoon hunt on the New Hampshire opener. I hung my stand back in early august andhavent beed up in it since. When I got up into my stand I found virtually all my shooting lanes had some sort new growth in them that atleast obstructed part of the lane [:@]. I can never remember this happening in the past. Luckily I never had a shooting opportunity.
If you hung your stands early you may want to visit and make sure you have a clean lean if a shot presents itself. Imagine missing a shot at mossy horns because of new growth.

RE: Who trimmed my shooting lanes?
I'm with Fieldmouse. I'll give up a shot here and there and have to thread the needle over trimming lanes any day. I have many places that all I have are little holes here and there to shoot in. No such thing as a shooting lane. All a shooting lane is to me is a place to get attached to. A place to focus on too much. A place to be spotted from. I move too much to worry about shooting lanes. You were busted, I'd be moving or at least wouldn't be hunting that spot for a week or more. At a minimum I'd have my climber in there 40 or 50 yards away the next time I hunt the area.
