Default Shooting Lanes

I have been given permission in two new spots to hunt. An old high school friend farms the land and I had never asked to hunt there before. Turns out no one had ever asked.I will be trimming shooting lanes soon. I've always hunted where I didn't need to trim much. How aggressive do you get with trimming lanes? This is pretty thickly wooded.

It depends on your stand. If you are hunting from a tree then you need
to clear a lane or lanes depending on where the deer will be coming from and where you think they will be traveling.I would cut clear paths to where you will be shooting. No need to clear everything in the area though.
