Ditto Dep, you get it. BTW, when I wrote TX I was referring to highrack, not Texas in general. I think I have said all that I can say with reguard to this subject. TX put down your beer and go to bed, and not the one in your truck.

ok buddy.the area is so thick where i hunt that you could stalk for days and never see any kind of animal. we have to have some food source and some way to get them out of the thick stuff. last year we just did not have hardly any cold weather either.it was a bad year

Okay, that's got to be it. Like I said I took the road that goes north and I would say approximately 20 to 30 mins and I turned right off the road. drove down a little two track for about 1/2 mile and their was the camp. There were I think four different leases on that particular land. I can't remember how many acres his lease included but I do remember him telling me something about the land owner having part of his lease sprayed by airplane to kill off the underbrush for the cattle. Does that sound right? I'll have to see if I can dig up my pics of the bucks I took...I saw more bucks the first weekend out there hunting than I did in my prior four years in Michigan (also remember - I was young and not a smart hunter back then).
