Default I need some help scouting

I have been scouting for several months and have figured out where the deer will travel. Well today my dad sold my hunting spot. I don't really care because if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be hunting. Well I do have another 60 acres to hunt on, but I have no idea what to do. I will only be able to go up there a few more times before season. Any tips? Thanks

Zak is this 60 acres of bush or field?
If this is bush then take a quick walk around and look for heavily used trails.Look for the thick spots with small openings and place a stand there. The best would be to look for intersecting trails and place the stand at the Y.
If the area is all field then i would sit back a couple 100 yards with binoculars in early morn or evenings and see where the deer are coming and going into the field. This will give you a very good idea as to where to set up your ambush-------Good luck

Scout it as if you would be hunting it. If you have the time just walk through it as if you were stalking on the ground. Move and sit with the wind in your favor. If you want you could bring you stand and climb and sit for a little bit. Set ribons or tacks to your choice spots (you don't need many to start off). Oh yea, don't forget your camera.

Good luck.

Walk around the outside of the property and look for well used trails that may be coming into or out of the property. After you have found a few try to figure out where they are going. Be it food, bedding area, or just travel routs through the property. Also look for natural "edges" of one type of cover that meets up with another type of cover (like a pine thicket meeting with thick under brush). Deer will travel these edges.

Go to TERRA SERVER and find your property and study the areal photo and topo map. Look for any ridges or bottoms that may run through the property. Look for natural funnels like little fingers of cover running between two fields or where two or three bottoms join together.
